The Department of Water Resources has increased water deliveries for State Water Project users to 15% because El Nino storms have increased the water flowing into depleted reservoirs.

Kern County Water Agency Water Resources Manager Holly Melton says more increases may be seen through the spring if the storms keep coming. Water deliveries topped off at 20% last year.

Melton also says the real problem is the man-made drought from pumping restrictions in the Delta.
