The victim of a shooting in south Bakersfield has been identified. 31-year-old Benjamin Mendoza was killed around 9:30 Wednesday night at the intersection of Madison Street and Del Mar Avenue and three suspects were seen driving off. Shortly afterwards, they were stopped on Bergquist Avenue and taken into custody. The suspects are 20-year-old Jeffrey Tapia, 19-year-old Ricky Cortez and 20-year-old Daniel Marquez. They are being held for murder, conspiracy and gang-related charges.
