Cal/OSHA has issued a $40 thousand fine in fatal explosion.Big & Deep Ag Development of McFarland is expected to appeal the fine after the agency found they had not trained a bulldozer operator who was killed when he ripped a furrow that severed a high-pressure PG&E gas line in November. Cal/OSHA says the gas line was marked with flags and the company did not have current permits to work at the location. Their spokesperson also said Big & Deep Ag had punctured that same line on another property a couple years before and should have known it was there.
