Five-hundred homes in East Porterville may soon have clean water again after the state connects it to Porterville’s water system. The hook up should be complete by the end of the year, and hundreds more homes will be connected in 2017.

Wells in East Porterville began drying up two years ago, forcing residents to install large tanks to shower and use toilets.
