Two farm workers were killed and two badly injured in a pre-dawn crash.The accident happened on Highway 46 near Scofield Road just west of Wasco. Wednesday morning’s accident was caused by a van packed with farm laborers drifting into the oncoming land as a big rig approached. The CHP says the driver of the van and a passenger behind him died while two others suffered major injuries, two more refused treatment. The semi driver was unhurt and it’s uncertain why the van drifted into the head-on crash.
