Four hundred and fifty people from across Kern County are taking part in the two-day Global Leadership Summit at Valley Baptist Church in Bakersfield. The GLS livestreams speeches by business and church leaders from the main event in Chicago to several “host sites”, but organizers think people here will be inspired to volunteer in the community.

Bakersfield native Patrick Lencioni is a keynote speaker. The event concludes Friday.
