A second-degree murder charge has been dropped against a mother suspected of shooting her 31-year-old son. A judge found that 69-year-old Joice Rush killed Brian Rush in self defense after he tried to break into her east Bakersfield home in June. Brian Rush was a suspected drug addict who had broken into the home several times before.
