A motorcycle rider has been killed in an accident that happened as the rider was reportedly going about 100 miles per hour. The crash was on westbound Highway 178 near Haley Street in east Bakersfield around 5:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews attempted to revive the man, but he was already gone.
