The Sheriff’s search and rescue unit has retrieved an injured hiker from the Pacific Crest Trail.The rescue was about 13 miles north of Highway 178. The 24-year-old woman from Georgia has been hiking the border-to-border trail since April. Volunteers carried her out Wednesday afternoon after the woman suffered an ankle injury.
