Bakersfield is on track to have one of its hottest summers in 20 years.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Brian Ochs says more 100-degree days are coming our way most likely due to a ridge of high pressure sitting over us, the local building boom, and global warming.

Bakersfield may see as many as 50 days this year break the century mark.
