Bakersfield Police, Sheriff’s deputies, the CHP and the FBI all responded to the Bakersfield Heart Hospital for a shooting Friday at approximately 4:45pm. A cleaning lady alerted security when she saw a man with a gun outside, he shot out a glass door to the Emergency Room to enter.  Two BPD officers shot the suspect, and he was transported to another local hospital. Police are not naming the man at this time and do no believe it was a terrorist attack, but they’re working on finding a motive. There is no evidence of any shots being fired inside the hospital. -Brian Thomas
