Wasco deputies have arrested a man suspected of carjacking a vehicle just after a 19-year-old woman inside managed to escape. It happened around 11:00 Friday morning on Highway 46 in the parking lot of an auto parts store. 19-year-old Jose Mejia was later arrested on Margalo Street a short time later.
