3A doctor who killed a pedestrian during a texting and driving accident in Delano has been sentenced to three years probation.

Dr. Alphonso Afron pleaded no contest last week to vehicular manslaughter for hitting Ruby Caraan as she crossed Cecil Avenue near Clinton Street in October 2016.
