Bakersfield Police say a woman who was shot in a domestic violence incident in northwest Bakersfield has died and they’ve identified the suspect as 24-year-old Carlos Garcia Jr. Sgt. Joseph Galland says the call came in around 8:00 Tuesday night from Abbott Drive and Tumwater Avenue, not far from Hageman Road, and Garcia escaped by running in and out of backyards despite an extensive search with the help of the Sheriff’s helicopter. He’s considered armed and dangerous.
