Firefighters were able to prevent a blaze from spreading to the inside of two commercial buildings in Delano this morning. Crews say the fire began at a nearby homeless encampment between the back of the buildings and railroad tracks. Kern County Fire says they were called to High Street and 7th Ave just before 8am. The businesses impacted say they are still open.
