It seems to be a simple case of a woman running a stop sign that led to a fatal crash near McFarland. Highway Patrol Officer Tomas Martinez says the 69 year-old from Bakersfield was driving northbound on Driver Road approaching Sherwood Avenue before 6 o’clock this [Thursday] morning…

The Tahoe was going about 65 miles an hour. The two cars crashed and the woman died at the scene. Martinez says there was nothing to obstruct her from seeing the Tahoe, and likely just wasn’t paying attention.
