With the storm expecting to due more flood damage to the north of Kern County, a Bakersfield Fire Department water rescue team has been deployed to the Merced area. Ortiz says the team was there during the January storms and made several rescues. He says Kern County and Bakersfield do have similar resources still available if needed.
