Another tragic example of how deadly the Kern River can be. Five professional kayakers fell into the river last evening. One of them is missing and presumed dead. Kern County Search and Rescue responded just before 6pm Wednesday to an area near Gold Ledge Campground, which is actually in Tulare County. They were able to pull two men and two women from the river. The search for the missing man continues.
