The Open Door Network and Bakersfield college are celebrating the graduation of students who earned their certificate in basic office or beginning computer skills. Director David Madding says many of the participants in the Work Force Development program have overcome obstacles such as homelessness and drug abuse.

Eighteen people were awarded certificates on Wednesday.
