The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who was hit and killed by a vehicle in south Bakersfield. Fernando Espinosa, 84, of Bakersfield, was walking on Potomac Avenue at South King Street near Union Cemetery when he was struck by a pickup on October 16. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say Espinoza was outside the crosswalk when he was hit.
