Wasco man sentenced for DUI crash

A Wasco man convicted of charges in a drunk-driving crash that left a toddler dead will spend eight years in prison. Irving Rodriguez-Barazza was sentenced Thursday after an accident that killed Aislyn Tejeda, 1, at Burbank Street and Shafter Avenue in Shafter in July 2022. Five other people were injured when their Jeep was pushed into an almond and flipped onto its side after Rodriguez-Barazza ran a stop sign. He pleaded no contest to DUI and manslaughter charges.
