new information about escaped killer

New information about a convicted killer who escaped from prison guards in Delano. Unnamed sources on Friday told KERN’s Ralph Bailey Show Cesar Hernandez, 34, used a self-made key to break free from his restraints – and punched a guard –before running through an open gate in the transfer parking lot of the Kern County courthouse on Jefferson Street where he was set to appear at a status hearing December 2. Residents were on high alert and schools were closed as a four-day manhunt ensued to find him. State prison officials said Friday they believe Hernandez left the area. He was serving time at Kern Valley State Prison in Delano for a 2018 murder in Los Angeles County.
