Former Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner wants his child support payments to be “zero.” Court documents indicate the 50-year-old made the request because his failing health and the investigation into child abuse allegations have kept him from finding work. Scrivner agreed in August to pay child support support retroactive to May 1 for his four children. A restraining order prevents him from contacting his children or his wife after an incident at their Tehachapi home in late April where Scrivner had reportedly been involved in a physical altercation with his kids over allegations involving a preteen. Scrivner was not arrested, and has not been charged with a crime. He resigned from the Board of Supervisors in August, citing “significant health and medical reasons.”
