Three adults, two dogs and six puppies are without a home after fire torches their house in Kernville. The blaze broke out at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Panorama Drive where crews from as far away as Inyokern and Glenville joined Kern County firefighters to keep the fire from spreading to nearby houses. An off-duty firefighter also pitched in to help. No one was hurt. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
