suspected killer enters plea in gang-related shooting

A Bakersfield man charged in connection to a gang-related shooting enters a plea to murder charges. Brandon Billingsley, 22, told a judge last Thursday he was not guilty after being charged with five felony counts. Bakersfield police say they received a Shotspotter notification indicating ten shots were fired in the 800 block of East California Avenue on May 31, 2020. Raul Dominguez was found in the driver’s seat of an SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say Billingsley and two other suspects fired shots into Dominguez’s vehicle after getting into an argument with him. Mark Anton and Parrish Stinson were convicted of Dominguez’s murder on December 19.
