A man was hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in Porterville. Officers responded late Friday night to a house in the 1000 block of North Salisbury Street for reports of several gunshots heard in the area. Officers say Sebastian Martinez pointed a gun at them as he came outside when they knocked on the front door. An officer shot Martinez who allegedly had another loaded gun in his waistband. Authorities say he has prior gun and drug charges and could face murder charges as well. The officers involved are on administrative leave.
