Country icon Hank Williams Jr. recently married his long-time friend Brandi in Alabama.
The 74-year-old country singer announced that he and his fiancé were married on September 9 at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama, “in front of a small group of family and friends.”
A reception followed at Kendall Hall in Troy, Alabama.
Williams said the couple were engaged earlier this year on Mother’s Day, but just posted an announcement of the engagement on Facebook last week.
The bride and groom have known each other and been friends since 2003, but made the decision to tie the knot after Williams lost his wife Mary Jane Thomas in March 2022 after more than 30 years of marriage.
Williams and Mary Jane Thomas had two children together – Sam, 26, and late Katherine, who died in 2020 at age 27.
Thomas was Williams’ third wife.
